Less than a mile away Logan
botanic Gardens will astound due to our mild climate many exotic plants
thrive here.From the front door you can see the fish pond across the bay
and it is well worth a visit, The Victorian Bathing Hut and Pool are just
as interesting as the marine life There is a wealth of things to do loacaly
including fishing sea and fresh water shooting golfing horse riding cycling
the area is surrounded by small intimate bays and beaches only short distances
from the village . The mull of Galloway visitor centre attracts thousnds
of people every year and has a bird sanctuary aswell.There are many places
close by to eat and drink including port logan inn itself which is sometimes
referd to as the rayburn arms as this was its name in the tv drama two
thousand acres of sky there are many other familiar sets in the village
for your viewing.In nearby Drummore you can see the first and last post
office in Scotland and it has many facilities including hotels and caravan
parks. There are also lots of historic and archeologic site nearby aswell
as the kirks and churches.All this and we havn,t got as far as Stranraer,
Portpatrick, Sandhead which are prominant holiday spots all within 15
miles of Port Logan.
